''I believe in everything, until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists even it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams aren't as real as the here and now?'' John Lennon
It has to be remembered that dear old John was heavily into recreational drugs, as were most pop stars then. The right, creative side of the brain would come into play more. Their psychedelic songs and lyrics expressed the way that subjective reality blurred with subjective reality.
Leaving aside Lennon’s personal habits, I think he was expressing a more laid-back approach to how we view the world. We can rule everything out unless we have hard evidence to support it. Or we can rule everything in and see what happens.
It doesn’t mean we actually believe in fairies or that we don’t. Speaking words of wisdom, we can let it be. Let it float. Be prepared for the unexpected to surprise us, delight us or disappoint us. Life lived like this is more exciting and great inventors are often dreamers.
